UNLEASHED KENNELS Q & A, if your question isn't answered below feel free to contact us.
To see previous litters and updated pictures of our productions please visit us on FB or INSTAGRAM. This will give you a good idea of what to expect your puppy to turn out depending on the Sire & Dam.
1-
Q: What is the amount required to hold a puppy?
A: We require a $300 NON REFUNDABLE deposit on all in-house breeding's. We will not HOLD any spots without one. Any breedings where our studs have been used the owner of the female sets deposit and litter prices. We help sell these puppies because we feel it is just as much our responsibility to find the puppies great homes as it is the owner of the Dam.
2-
Q: What happens if i change my mind after deposit has been paid?
A: We DO NOT give refunds on deposits. You need to check with all people that are involved in the decision of the purchase of the puppy BEFORE sending a deposit. This means, landlord, spouse, significant other, and also check with your city or county to make sure you are not OVER the specific LIMIT of number of dogs you are allowed to house!
3-
Q: Is my puppy's deposit transferable ?
A: Yes your puppy's deposit is transferable to another litter if when the litter is born and there wasn't enough puppies or not enough of the sex of puppy your deposit was placed towards. We will NOT however let your transfer your deposit based on there not being the color you wanted born. We breed for quality, temperament, size and structure above color!!! Keep in mind some litters are priced differently so there maybe an increase in the price of your pick.
4-
Q: How long do I have to pay off my puppy?
A: The puppy is to be paid off no later than 8 weeks. The reason we announce our litters in advance is so you can place your deposit and start sending money.
5-
Q: How much do you charge for shipping?
A: Shipping costs are usually $375.00 for puppies under 20lbs (anything over 20lbs the price drastically increases due to the requirement of a special reinforced crate in which the start at $550) which includes vet fees, crate, and airline ticket. If you are getting your puppies ears cropped stitches have to be out and scabs healed before they can fly which can result most likely in the puppy being over the 20lb mark. We can recommend a couple ground shippers we have used in the past if needed as well. We ship via United Airelines only for domestic flights.
6-
Q: Can you get my puppies ears cropped?
A: Yes, at 7/8 weeks old our vet crops our puppies ears and we are more than happy to take yours. The fee is $200 and they are kept over night.
If you are wanting this done please look over the Ear Cropping Contract <-( Please Click) you will need to save and sign and return. you may pick them up the following day and you are responsible for taking out the stitches or you can wait to pick them up after stitches are taken out which is usually 7-10 days.
7-
Q: I'm wanting one of your young adult or adult dogs what's next?
A: If its a young adult or adult that is of breeding quality we have the following adult contract <-(please click)you will need to save and fill out and sign and prices will be determined based upon age, pedigree, and if he or she has any show experience . if it is a retired female or male there will be a small adoption fee and he or she will be spayed/neutered before leaving and no papers will be provided.
8-
Q: I have a pervious puppy from one of your litters and I was wanting more information on dog training and boarding.
A: We offer Basic obedience 6 sessions $350 & Advanced obedience 6 sessions $550. In basic we cover; come, sit, down, heal and stay. In advanced we cover; come from a distance, sit and stay, down and stay, goto place, touch and off leash heal. The training is one on one and we not only train the dog but train you as well so you have great success.
Show training is also offered and prices are based upon what your dog already knows and age. prices range from $150-500 and can go from 1 week of refresher course or 6-8 weeks of starting from scratch, we would need to evaluate the dog before giving out prices. please contact us for more details.
Boarding is $100 a week and you supply the crate and dog food.
9-
Q: What is my puppy eating? I want to keep them on the same food.
A: We feed 4Heathe Grain Free puppy food. This can be purchased at your local feed store or tractor supply. Each puppy that leaves our kennel comes with a bag of food that will get them through a feeding.
10-
Q: We are wanting to start showing our puppy, how do we start?
A: We offer show training and recommend that it is started ASAP. We can send you some videos if you live out of state and can't bring your puppy to us. We attend most local ABKC shows in the surrounding states; AL,SC,NC,TN,FL. You can find a list of dates for these shows on the ABKC website and/or on FB.
11-
Q: We see that a few of your dogs are service dogs, Do you offer protection or therapy training?
A: No, we only offer Basic, Advanced, & Show training. We can however refer you to several people that we have worked with in the past with our dogs.
12-
Q: I have a female and I'd like to use one of your studs, what's next?
A: We have to approve of all females before we agree to allow one of our studs to be used. It needs to be a female that compliments our stud in both size, temperament and pedigree. Example we would never allow an XL to be bred to a Pocket, and vise versa. We require a deposit to reserve your stud and all payments of stud fees to be paid by the time of the breeding. We also require a neg. brucellosis test with in 10 days before breeding. This can be done at your vet and you can have the results within a few days. The female can be brought to us on the planned breeding days or you can have her housed at our kennel for 7 days. If you plan on your female staying we need her current shot records, crate, and enough food for her stay.
